The relationship between parity and birth weight with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia at Dewi Sartika General Hospital

This study aims to determine the relationship between parity and birth weight with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia at Dewi Sartika General Hospital. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The research data used are secondary data. This research will be carried out from August 1-15, 2023 at Dewi Sartika General Hospital. The population and sample in this study were newborns who experienced neonatal asphyxia in 2021-2022 totaling 166 with sampling using total sampling. The results of the study using the chi square statistical test found that parity showed P values of 0.003 < 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which explains that there is a parity relationship with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia. Likewise, the birth weight shows a P value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which explains that there is a parity relationship with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between parity and birth weight with the incidence of neonatal asphyxia at Dewi Sartika General Hospital.
