The relationship between maternal age and parity with the incidence of low birth weight in newborns at BLUD UPTD Abeli Health Center Kendari City

This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal age and parity with the incidence of low birth weight in newborns at BLUD UPTD Abeli Health Center Kendari City. This type of research Quantitative research is a study that includes data in the form of numbers, using a cross sectional design. Data collection was carried out using sequelencing data obtained from the BLUD register book of UPTD Abeli Health Center Kendari City. Data analysis in this study used Chi Squar test with SPSS software for windows. The samples in this study were all newborns with low birth weight and recorded in medical records for the last two years 2021 - 2022, BLUD UPTD Abeli Health Center Kendari City totaling 62 people and Total Sampling techniques. The results of the chi square analysis test for age obtained an Exact Sig. (2-sided) value of 0.011 < 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an age relationship with the incidence of low birth weight in newborns at the Abeli Health Center in Kendari City, and for Parity the results of the chi square analysis test obtained an Exact Sig. (2-sided) value of 0.013 < 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parity and the incidence of low birth weight in newborns at the Abeli Health Center in Kendari City
