Analysis of the causes of Sectio Caesarea (SC) at Aliyah 1 General Hospital Kendari City

This study was conducted at Aliyah 1 General Hospital Kendari City in June 2023 with a focus on delivery patients with the SC method. The characteristics of respondents involved variables such as age, parity, education, and mother's occupation. The results of univariate analysis showed the distribution of maternal maternity frequency according to the form of labor, with most deliveries being spontaneous. Multiple logistic regression analysis is performed to identify the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed a significant influence of several variables causing SC, such as Cephalopelvic Disproportion (CPD), Early Rupture of Water (KPD), Macrosomia, Location Abnormalities, Serotinus, History of SC, and Partus Congestion. The discussion involves analyzing the influence of these factors on the incidence of SC. For example, CPD, Early Rupture of Amniotic Membranes, and Macrosomia each have a significant influence on the incidence of SC. This finding is consistent with previous theories and research supporting the relationship between these factors and the incidence of SC. However, the study had limitations, including a cross-sectional study design that could not establish a causal relationship. In addition, the use of secondary data from handwritten medical records may complicate interpretation. Thus, the results of this study provide insight into the factors that influence the incidence of SC in such hospitals, but it is necessary to be reminded of the limitations and further research needs to be done to validate these results.
