Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of maternal age and gravidity on the incidence of Preeclampsia at South Konawe Hospital, South Konawe Regency. This type of research is quantitative using a cross-sectional study design, namely the collection, analysis and description of information and data systematically, by increasing understanding of certain phenomena. Based on the results of research and discussion on the influence of age and gravidity on the incidence of preeclampsia at South Konawe Hospital, South Konawe Regency in 2018-2022, it can be concluded that there is an influence of age on the incidence of Preeclampsia where the P-Value value of 0.000 < 0.05 means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of Age on the incidence of Preeclampsia. After further analysis, the value of the strength of the influence of age on the incidence of Preeclampsia was 10.3%. There is an influence of gravidity on the incidence of Preeclampsia where a P-Value value of 0.008 < 0.05 is obtained meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of Gravidity on the incidence of Preeclampsia. After further analysis, the value of the strength of the influence of Gravidity on the incidence of Preeclampsia was 24.7% and the strength of the influence of the two variables can be seen from the R square value of 0.280 which means the strength of the influence of the two variables is 28.0%, where the strength of this influence is still weak
