Cosmetics are preparations used on the outside of the human body (epidermis, hair, nails, lips and external genital organs) or teeth and oral mucous membranes mainly to clean, change appearance, improve body odor or protect and maintain the body in good condition. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether lemon juice (Citrus limon L.) &; Honey (Apis dorsata) can be formulated into lip gel preparations, The objectives of this study are as follows: To find out whether lemon juice (Citrus limon L.) and Honey (Apis dorsata) can be formulated into lip gel preparations, the type of research used is experimental research. Experiment is a study by conducting experimental activities that aim to determine the symptoms or influences that arise, as a result of certain treatments or experiments Organoleptic observations in all preparations of lip gel formulations before and after storage have no changes in terms of smell, color. Observation of homogeneity in all preparations of lip gel formulas is considered stable. Based on the pH test results, lip gel preparations in formulation II are not eligible. The physiological pH value of the lips is 59% - 60% shows significant results and has a high moisture value.that lemon juice (Citrus limon L.) and honey (Apis dorsata) can be formulated as lip gel preparations. And from the results of physical evaluation tests in formula I and formula III, they meet the requirements for physical evaluation tests of preparations, namely organoleptic tests, pH tests, and humidity tests. Formulation II does not meet the pH evaluation test requirements, namely 3,7.
