This study aims to evaluate the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding status and the incidence of stunting in children under three years old at Bimamaroa Health Center, South Konawe Regency. Using the Chi Square test in a case-control design, the results showed a significant association between exclusive breastfeeding status and the incidence of stunting in children under five years old. Asymp value. Sig. (2-sided) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating statistical significance. The results of the Odds Ratio (OR) calculation show that children who do not get exclusive breastfeeding have a 6.8 times higher risk of stunting compared to children who get exclusive breastfeeding, with a 95% confidence interval between 0.031 to 0.149 (OR 95% CI). These findings highlight the importance of exclusive breastfeeding in preventing stunting in early childhood. This research contributes to the understanding of the factors that influence stunting and reinforces the urgency of exclusive breastfeeding practices. The clinical implications emphasise the need to increase education and support for breastfeeding mothers to improve exclusive breastfeeding practices, thereby reducing the risk of stunting in early childhood in the region.
