The Effect of Health Education on Young Women's Knowledge about the Implementation of Breast Self-Examination at SMA Negeri I Kulisusu Utara

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of health education on adolescent girls' knowledge about the implementation of breast self-examination at SMA Negeri I Kulisusu Utara. This study used pre-experimental research methods. The research design used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest, In this research design a group extension method was used. The population in this study amounted to 144 female students consisting of classes X, XI, XII. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with a total of 97 samples. The results of the study are known statistical summary that the results of the McNemar Test value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that the provision of health education affects student knowledge in the implementation of breast self-examination. The Exact value of Sig. (2-tailed) is equal to 0.000 or less than 0.05, so it is concluded that there is a significant influence of providing education or health education on the knowledge of female students doing breast self-examination
