This study aims to determine the relationship between birth parity and spacing with the incidence of placental retention in the Regional Public Service Agency of Konawe District Hospital. This type of research is quantitative with a case control approach. This research will be conducted in June 2023. The population in this study is all maternity mothers who experienced placental retention at the Regional Public Service Agency of Konawe District Hospital from 2018 to 2022 amounting to 200 people, with the study sample consisting of 100 case samples and control samples totaling 100 people, sampling techniques using total sampling techniques. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of placental retention where the p-value was 0.005 (p-value <0.05) and in the variable pregnancy distance obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p-value <0.05) which means there was a significant relationship between birth distance and the incidence of placental retention. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between birth parity and spacing with the incidence of placental retention in the Regional Public Service Agency of Konawe District Hospital.
