The relationship of diphtheria pertussis tetanus immunization with the incidence of acute respiratory infections in toddlers at the Kolono Health Center, South Konawe Regency

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus Immunization with the Incidence of Acute Respiratory Infections in Toddlers at the Kolono Health Center, South Konawe Regency. This type of research is Quantitative research, with case control design, This research has been carried out in the working area of the Kolono Health Center of Southeast Sulawesi Province, the sample in this study is toddlers with the incidence of ARI with a total sample of 127 people. However, this study is a quantitative research with a case control approach, it is necessary to add control samples (toddlers are not ISPA) with the same number of 127 samples, thus the total number of samples is 254 respondents. The sampling technique was carried out in this study using probability samples, namely Proporsive Sampling. The results of the study are known from the results of data analysis and p value 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between DPT Immunization and the incidence of ARI at the Kolono Health Center, South Konawe Regency in 2022. As well as an OR value of 14,085 which can be interpreted that there are 14 times that of toddlers with incomplete DPT immunization have a risk of ARI events with a lower limit value of 7,340 and an upper limit of 27,011. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the p value is 0.000< of 0.05 and the OR value = 14,085 thus it can be concluded that there is a risk of ARI events by 14 times in toddlers with incomplete DPT immunization.
